Fitness Manager
I literally fell into the industry by chance. I had a operation on my knee that required extensive surgery that ultimately labelled me as “damaged goods” to my potential basketball contract in America at the age of 16. During my rehab I met a PT at my local gym that I attended for my rehab and that PT made me feel seen & heard at a time in my life where I lost everything. From that moment on I pursued personal training.
Since then I have been in the industry successfully for over 15 years in all different levels, from fresh out of Tafe, working behind the desk doing gym tours & basic cleaning of a gym, right up to the peak where I was owner operator of my own business for a time in Melbourne.
In the background, I always and still do find myself looking for ultimate competitive pursuits that redefine the word “fitness” for many people, most importantly for women. I am the only woman in WA to have represented U82’s kg females on a national level in Strongman, been invited and qualified for Worlds Strongman Games whilst holding three Australians records and the WA title repeatedly.
That aside I have a passion for the mind, how we connect and understand each other as humans, what makes us tick, our drives, motivations and passions. How we can access that to better understand our emotions, build better relationships with others, most importantly with ourselves.
I also really love food! So if, your ducking away because I am curious about that too, don’t worry! I am not your typical PT with the hard line on that, food is a simple pleasure in life and we are here to enjoy what we can while we can – Balance! Am I right?
