I had been a member at Surge for several months before training with Michele – after two knee reconstructions in my right knee, any exercise at all caused swelling and pain – I would then find myself at the physio (at considerable expense) and unable to train at all. I wasn’t able to get any consistency in training and simply made no improvement to my fitness at all.

Within a few short weeks of training with Michelle, I have noticed a huge difference – I am able to get through pump classes without the awful clicking and grinding noises coming from my knee or the pain and swelling afterwards. I have now increased my weights and have not seen my physio since I started training with Michele.

I rolled my ankle last week - in the past, due to the weakness of the muscles around my knee, this would have meant more visits to the physio– my knee held up the muscles are holding it just the way they should be.

I wasn’t really concerned about weight loss or slimming down when I started training with Michele – I just wanted to be able to train consistently.

Guess what? I slimmed down anyway – I’ve lost 8cms from my thighs and more from all over – I love that – I can now train several times a week without pain and despite being sporty for most of my life at 43 years old feel fitter than I ever have.
